Why homeowners trust the technicians we send

Certified, and honest about repair vs. replace

Licensed & EPA certified

Local technicians carrying state licensing and EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant work.

Repair when repair is right

A failed capacitor on a young system is a repair, not a reason to sell you a new one. You get told which you have.

Sized to your home

Replacements are sized by load calculation, not by matching the old box. Oversizing is how you get a cold, clammy house.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered plainly

How fast can someone get here?

We answer live and dispatch the nearest available local technician, with same-day service where we can. In peak summer, systems fail in clusters and demand runs high — calling early in the day helps.

Should I repair or replace?

It depends on the system's age and what failed. Most run twelve to eighteen years. A capacitor, contactor, or fan motor on a younger unit is a straightforward repair; a failed compressor on an aging system, or one running obsolete refrigerant, usually points to replacement. A straight technician will tell you when you are not there yet.

What can I check before calling?

Three things: the thermostat is set to cool and the batteries are good, the breaker for the unit has not tripped, and the air filter is not choked. A filthy filter causes a surprising share of no-cool calls. Beyond that, do not open the unit — there are capacitors inside that hold a dangerous charge even with the power off.

Why is my house cold but clammy?

Usually an oversized system. It cools the air fast, satisfies the thermostat, and shuts off before it has run long enough to pull moisture out. In a humid climate that is not just uncomfortable — sustained indoor humidity is what leads to mold. Correct sizing at replacement is the fix.

Do I really need annual maintenance?

It is the difference between a scheduled fix and a breakdown in August — most emergency calls have a history a technician would have caught. It is also a warranty question: most manufacturers require documented annual service to keep the parts warranty valid.

Are the technicians licensed and certified?

Yes. The local contractors we connect you with carry state licensing and EPA Section 608 certification, which federal law requires for anyone handling refrigerant. We are a referral service, not an HVAC contractor — the licensed local company does the work.
